Green Water

That wave is brighter than I thought. It's also difficult to find the right viewpoint for it, it dominates any night shot of Whitehaven harbour so much.

What attracted me to this particular viewpoint was the visual interest of the town in the background and the silhouette of the crows nest in the foreground and some interestingly shaped reflections in the water, which was fairly still this windless summer night.

The wave was the centrepiece of the Millennium project which sought to transform Whitehaven harbour from a derelict industrial port to a major tourist attraction.
